B17 Entertainment, a joint venture of Sony Pictures Television’s Nonfiction group, was founded in 2013 by principals and TV veterans Rhett Bachner and Brien Meagher as a full-service production company producing breakthrough content in a variety of genres including comedy, kids, reality and game, and focuses on multi-platform programming with millennial and Gen Z appeal. Based in Los Angeles, the company is a key supplier of live, formatted and interactive programming for HBO MAX, TNT/TBS, Roku Originals, Facebook Watch, YouTube, Syfy and Snap to name a few. Rhett and Brien currently serve as Executive Producers on projects that include Chasing the Cure, the live, interactive medical series for TNT/TBS; Craftopia, the kids crafting competition featuring YouTube mega-star LaurDIY for HBO Max and Thanks A Million, the celebrity infused pay-it-forward format in partnership with Jennifer Lopez for Roku Originals.
Prior to B17 Entertainment, Bachner and Meagher served as producers on ABC’s Emmy-Nominated Shark Tank, as well as Executive Producing projects that include The Pitch for AMC, Be the Boss for A&E and Supermarket Superstar for Lifetime. Bachner also served as Executive Producer on The Henry Rollins Show for IFC, Man Caves for DIY and Real Deal for History. Meagher worked as a Development Executive for Mark Burnett Productions, where he was Co-Executive Producer on Shark Tank and also worked on Survivor and The Apprentice.
